The Local Supply Unit consists of seven regional sections, with associated groups distributed across management and projects. There is also a group for nationally decided local projects, organized directly under the unit manager. Furthermore, there is a national section responsible for development, with groups for governance and analysis, law, and technology. A total of about 120 employees work within the unit.

The property portfolio is varied, including older properties as well as new and modern police houses. Our portfolio is unique with technology-intensive premises and high security requirements. The group manages projects in the police region West and Bergslagen, which consists of Västra Götaland County, Halland County, Örebro County, Värmland County, and Dalarna County.

Job Description

As a project manager, you will drive larger new, renovation, and extension projects in the role of tenant representative. You will lead projects from early stages to the move-in of operations. The design of today's police houses has many special functions such as detention cells, shooting ranges, and forensic premises. One task as a project manager is to plan for efficient and legally secure flows both inside and outside the police house.

Your work includes investigating and anchoring future local needs and local design with the core business. As a project manager, you will be involved in procurement and execution of construction contracts. You are responsible for compiling and quality-assuring program documents and room function programs. Finally, you are responsible for the move-in in collaboration with the operations.

Your main tasks include:

  • Leading property projects (new, renovation, and extension)
  • Establishing and following up project budgets in collaboration with the controller
  • Presenting at steering group meetings
  • Participating in procurement of contracts
  • Being proactive in negotiations with internal and external parties
  • Collaborating with property owners, consultants, municipalities, suppliers, and internal specialist functions as well as the police's core business
  • Reporting to the project owner

Travel is included in the position, primarily within the Bergslagen Region but also nationally.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Relevant academic and/or vocational education in the field of real estate, construction, and/or local supply
  • More than five years of experience in project management and local supply
  • Experience collaborating with landlords and contractors
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Driving license B, manual
  • Swedish citizenship

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience in procurement and execution of complex contracts
  • Experience from various types of contract forms such as total and collaborative contracts
  • Experience from LOU procurements
  • Good knowledge of contract law and project economics
  • Experience in forecasting and follow-up of projects
  • Experience working with local supply from a tenant perspective
